Political Achievement

2019-Present: Elected as an honorable Member of Parliament in 11th Parliamentary Election(3rd Time).

2014-2019: Elected as an honorable Member of Parliament in 10th Parliamentary Election(2nd Time).

2009-2014: Elected as an honorable Member of Parliament in 9th Parliamentary Election(1st Time).

2005-2014: Elected as General Secretary of Pabna District Awami League.

1999-2002: Elected as Member of Bangladesh Bar Council(B.B.C) Dhaka, Bangladesh.

1995-1996: Elected as General Secretary of Pabna Lawer;s Bar Association.

1973-1974: Elected as General Secretary of Rajshahi University Central Student's Union (RUCSU).

1971: He Actively Participated in the liberation war in 1971. Having taken military training at the Dehradum Camp, India. He led liberation war in wider free zone of Pabna. His younger brother Abdul Khalek received martyrdom during the glorious liberation war 1971.

Appointed as Chairman of the standing committee of the Ministry of the Home Affairs.

 

2014-2019:

-Appointed as member of the standing committee of the Ministry of the Home Affairs.

-Appointed as member of the standing committee of the Ministry of the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

-Appointed as member of the Public Accounts Committee(PAC) of Bangladesh Parliament.

 

December, 2013-January, 2014:

Appointed as an Honorable State Minister (3rd time) of the Ministry of the Home Affairs for the Parliamentary election period.

 

July, 2009-November, 2013: 

Appointed as an Honorable State Minister (2nd time) of the Ministry of the Home Affairs.

 

January, 2009-July, 2009: 

Appointed as an Honorable State Minister (1st time) of the Ministry of the Energy, Power and Mineral Resources.

 

2001-Present: Joined the Supreme Court Division.

1996-2001: Appointed as public prosecutor of the Pabna District Judge Court, Pabna, Bangladesh.
